VoIP mobile dialer app
Silver Dialer is a free communications app for mobile devices developed by Reve Systems Ltd. It is a dialer app created specifically for making calls over voice over internet protocol, commonly referred to as VoIP. With it, users can contact anyone around the world using their Wi-Fi or data connection.
Similar in concept to iTel Mobile Dialer Express or MoSIP Mobile Dialer, Silver Dialer allows users to leverage their internet connection to be able to contact anyone without incurring high costs. It also makes it easy to conduct conference calls and comes with various extra features over traditional phone lines.
Contact anyone anywhere
Voice over Internet Protocol or VoIP is a relatively new technology that aims to replace traditional phone calls with communications over the internet for lower costs, scalability, and generally better reliability and call quality using your Wi-Fi connection. However, that doesn't mean you can do the same with your mobile data connection, and Silver Dialer is an app that lets you do just that.
This app features a simplistic user interface with large buttons and will work on Wi-Fi, 3G, and 4G connections. When you first open the app, it will ask you for an Operator Code, which is a special code that you can get from your specific service provider. From there, you can proceed with using it like you would any dialer app and call anyone from your contact list.
Before proceeding, there are a couple of things to be aware of, with the first being the limited carrier support. The second is it has yet to include support for the latest 5G networks. As for what it can improve on, despite its simple UI, navigation is a bit slow. Also, the app is ad-supported and they can be a bit too much at times.
Check your service provider
If you're looking to get into VoIP and enjoy the various benefit it provides, Silver Dialer is a decent choice that's easy to use and set up. That said, its limited carrier support and lack of 5G compatibility will be a detriment to many. Nevertheless, when it works, it does so well enough. Give it a try and see for yourself.
